Regs 2017

Post by Chris G » Sun Feb 12, 2017 20:37

Hi Everyone,

We are still awaiting Championship Registration Number/Regs approval from MSA meanwhile please note there have been very few minimal changes to the 2016 regs

The following change has been notified & authorised earlier today by Vic Palmer MSA Scrutineer for the Championships,
10.16 of the Britpart MSA BCCC/Trophy of which the Britpart Freelander Challenge Regs are supplemental.

To assist you in your preparations I have printed the section below:-

10.16 Parts of the event may take place during the hours of darkness and vehicles should be equipped with suitable lighting. Two rear facing red warning lights (P) 57.4.1. min 21w (or LED equivalent ) and in addition to normal vehicle stop lights two addition high level stop lights min 21w (or LED equivalent) must be fitted in position to (P) 57.4.1. to 2.

Regards
Lilian
Chris Gibson.

Given it's only 12 days until the early entry discount ends is there any sign of the regs being published?

Quite honestly, given the delay in publishing the regs and the uncertainty surrounding especially the Freelanders the cut-off date of the 28th should be extended. OK, I know the Freelander Challenge is payment per round but until we see the finals it is still unsure if we won't have be doing the main event instead.

Lilian is speaking to the MSA on Monday (20th) '
If she can obtain a permit number then the regs will be posted, possibly by the evening.
I will pass on to Lilian your comments regarding the 28th

Lilian phoned the MSA. Unfortunately they still haven't given the permit number. She will phone them again tomorrow.

Another day and nothing from the MSA.

Entries are still coming in, another three today Lilian says. We're lucky to have such trusting crews - if I was a competitor I'd have said "sod it, I'll do something else" by now. I'm pretty much at that point as the photographer :scre:

Don't you dare. Us marshalls have to plan time off work to make these events. Well those of us in work, looks like I'm one of the few. The majority appear to be retired. Even so people have to plan, if dates change it makes things hard on everyone.

See you on the 7th April up a Welsh mountain.

Be Possitive, the regs WILL be ready........

Well the BCCC regs have now been posted out and can also be downloaded from the Marches website.

Not certain whats happened with the Freelander Regs, perhaps they will turn up later tonight.
