Re: Regs 2017

In my opinion the big selling point with the Freelander Challenge was that all the cars were the same with only the skill of the driver and his crew making the differance. Now with the regs proposed by Chris all the above has gone and we are back to the winners being those that can chuck the most m...

Re: Regs 2017

I really don't understand what the problem is now, Chris has already posted that they're the same as last year apart from the lighting amendment so what's Selwyn doing? Rewriting them to allow 5.0 V8s? It'd be rather farcical if they're been changed at this stage. Maybe he's waiting for the Tippex ...

Re: Welsh forestry charges 2017

The Cambrian is going ahead apparently but with a change of route - more work and stress for the volunteer organisers. Seems that they have had to re-route as they are harvesting in one of the forests and too rough to run a rally through, plus the small problem of who repairs the damage before and ...

Re: A tale of country folk and a Slovenian tractor driver

I think that you will find that those in Westminster are planning to enshrine the various EU rules and legislation into UK law when we come out of the EU, so don't think we can dodge any of the EU red tape and procedures by leaving.

Jerry, surely your little Suzuki SJ isn't that heavy when loaded with all your kit to need a truck jack....or have you been using them as ballast to stop it being blown away in the wind

Re: Welsh forestry charges 2017

There seems to be also the issue of who pays the VAT on these repair charges. As for the non-NRW venues, I doubt that they too will be looking carefully at their charges and making a suitable revision...upwards. There might also have more events moving to these venues so might struggle to get dates....

Re: Autosport Show

Having seen the admission cost.....I think I'll be giving the show a very wide berth. I did think about bringing a couple of young lads along who are interested in motorsport, but at £21-24 each for them, sorry but no thanks. Not interested in the live action arena, but no option just to come to loo...

Re: MSA definition of "cross country"

I think we're missing an opportunity here. As you get to the event entrance you are issued with a start time and you get a finish time when your service area is set-up and car passed by the scrutineer. May be opportunities for the service crews to demonstrate their abilities....a bit like a F1 pit c...
